What's the difference between ZR and ZC in electric cable specification?
In general, ZR flame retardant performance can be tested by a single vertical combustion test, without evaluating the bundle combustion performance of the
electric wire.
ZC means that the flame retardancy of
electric wire meets the requirements of bundle combustion C type test, and ZC has higher requirements than ZR.
Flame retardants are mainly organic and inorganic, halogen and non-halogen.
Organic flame retardants are bromine, nitrogen, red phosphorus and their compounds. Inorganic flame retardants are mainly antimony trioxide, magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, silicon, and other flame retardants.
Generally speaking, organic flame retardants have a good affinity in plastics. Brominated flame retardants occupy an absolute advantage in organic flame retardant systems. Although there are many "criticisms" on environmental protection, it has been difficult to replace other flame retardant systems.
