The introduction and application of six commonly used power cable

There are power cable, control cable, shielded cable,high-temperature cable,computer cable,signal cable,coaxial cable,fire-resistant cable,marine cable, aluminum cable, ect. They are made with single core or multi-core wires and used for connecting circuits,electric equipment,ect.

The following are some common cables and the application of each models.

  1、VV：copper conductor, PVC insulated, PVC sheathed power cable

It can be laid in indoor,tunnels,cable trenches,pipelines,flammable and severely corrosive areas, but it couldn’t bear external mechine forces.If need to bear external machine forces, steel strip armored is needed.

2、YJV: copper conductor, XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed power cable

It can be laid in the indoor,tunnel and pipeline. It couldn’t bear external machine forces, and single core cable is not allowed to be laid in magnetic material pipeline. If need to bear external machine forces, steel strip armored is needed.

3、ZR-VV: copper conductor, flame-retardant PVC insulated, flame-retardant PVC sheathed power cable

It can be laid in indoor, tunnels, cable trenches, pipelines, flammable and severely corrosive areas, but it couldn’t bear external mechine forces. If need to bear external machine forces, steel strip armored is needed.

Features: In the case of an open flame, if remove the fire source within 12s, it will automatically extinguish.  

4、ZR-YJV: copper conductor, flame-retardant XLPE insulated, flame-retardant PVC sheathed power cable

It can be laid in indoor, tunnels, cable trenches, pipelines, flammable and severely corrosive areas, but it couldn’t bear external mechine forces. If need to bear external machine forces, steel strip armored is needed.

5、NH-VV: copper conductor with fire resistant layer ,flame-retardant PVC insulation, flame-retardant PVC sheathed power cable

It can be laid in indoor, tunnels, cable trenches, pipelines, flammable and severely corrosive areas, but it couldn’t bear external mechine forces. If need to bear external machine forces, steel strip armored is needed.Usually it is used in large-capacity power plants, nuclear power stations, underground railways, buildings,ect.

Features: In case of burning, it will keep working within 90mins.

6、NH-YJV: copper conductor with fire resistant layer ,flame-retardant XLPE insulation, flame-retardant PVC sheathed power cable

It can be laid in indoor, tunnels, cable trenches, pipelines, flammable and severely corrosive areas, but it couldn’t bear external mechine forces. If need to bear external machine forces, steel strip armored is needed.Usually it is used in large-capacity power plants, nuclear power stations, underground railways, buildings,ect.

Features: In case of burning, it will keep working within 90mins.
